About the island:
Unije is an island in Croatia, the part of the Cres-Losinj archipelago, which is situated at the northern portion of the Adriatic sea. It is 16.92 square kilometres (6.53 square miles) in size, with numerous bays and beaches. Island Losinj archipelago is characterized by healing properties and a mild Mediterranean climate with more than 200 days of sunshine annualy. Supreme air and sea quality, rich biodiversity, arroud 600 hundred various plant species on Unije. In the village there is restorant "Kod Joze", konoba "Unijana", cafe/patisserie, bakery with fresh bread without aditives,post office and grocery store and private accommodation (rooms and apartments) is provided by the locals in their typical houses with wide gabled facades. Unije is car free island, there are only few tractors for transporting goods of locals and few scooters. How to reach Unije? A regular shipping line (line 310) connects the island with island Lošinj and there are also catamaran lines from Rijeka (www.jadrolinija.hr) and Pula/Zadar (Krilo) . Also, you can come by small aircraft from Vrsar (1-3 persons, Delic air) |
About us:
We are Zlatka and Giovanni Gasparini. We visited island Unije for the first time in 1999. and decided that we want to live here because the island is so beautiful and it had positive impact on our health problems with high blood preassure and stressful life. Also the clear unpoluted air, sea and herbs helped many people with lung problems. The Losinj archipelago is known many years for that. We fell in love in islands nature and architecture and we want our visitors and friends to experience island too by staying in our authentic island house. We designed and renovated house like we do it for us, for you to feel island spirit.
We live in the ground floor and we have 2 apartments and 1 private room for rent.
About our accomodation:
The house is situated cca 100 m from the sea and first beach and 200m from the main beach. Although is in the center of the village Unije it is in quiet surroundings in side street. The shop is only 30m away, bakery 100m, restaurant 200 m, post office 100 m.

apartment 2 - 2nd floor, big terrace with great view, 1 bedroom+gallery, max 5 persons
